In a long distance relationship, it can be difficult for couples to communicate their feelings. Without seeing one another on a day-by-day, there's no way to tell how they really feel. Sure, phone calls and video chats are fun, but they're likely to "get old". If your partner expresses that, they mean it. Playing games with eachother and apps [i.e. Snapchat] can be a fun way to stay involved. Ways to identify the relationships downfall are: blatant communication of disinterest, lack of phone calls, negative talk regarding visits, and plain ignorance. All of these symptoms are in the recipe of disaster.
Your partner may only do one of these, and that still shows a red flag. Most likely, your lover didnt just decide overnight that it should end. It's a gradual decision. Surprisingly, studies show that men want to see their women every day; be able to show affection to her. This makes a long distance relationship a bit harder for men.
Mail your significant other a care package once in awhile to show you care. Play a game on the phone together, and give him/her a surprise text or call. Always remind your partner how much you care, and give compliments whenever possible. Any of these will keep it alive if the will is there.
